Events

GGs on the Go” – Events for 2024

Join us as we come together to get out and about! A great opportunity to socialise with
each other over a common interest. Most visits are arranged with an ‘exclusive’ element
just for GG members such as talks from the Head Gardener, a behind the scenes view of
how the garden operates or a garden that is open just for us.

How can I reserve my place(s) for an event?

  1. To reserve your place(s) simply email events@grayshottgardeners.net
  2. You will then be invited by email to pay a non-returnable deposit/full amount via bank
transfer to Grayshott Gardeners with the name of the event as a reference e.g. If we
are off to Wisley insert Wisley into the Bank transfer reference field.
  3. The trip joining details will be emailed to you nearer the date of the trip.
Places are normally limited and filled on a first come first served basis. Non members
are welcome, unless specifically stated, at a surcharge of £5 per head. Transport to and
from venues is by members own arrangements unless otherwise stated

Members requiring additional information please email Carmen Harvey-Browne at events@grayshottgardeners.net

VISIT TO GREYFRIARS VINEYARD, PUTTENHAM

WEDNESDAY 4th SEPTEMBER 2024

Tour and Wine Tasting

To book please email Carmen Harvey-Browne at events@grayshottgardeners.net

40 places available.

The tour and tasting are run concurrently as they find that enjoying wines on the amble gives a good sense of place.

There is some uneven ground as it is fields but not terrible. We have a stop point halfway up the vineyard to sit on a deck and enjoy the views whilst tasting another wine.

Please note this is a tour for 90 mins – 2 hours and involves the tasting of 5 wines.

The coach will drop us off in the lay-by on the A31 and there is a 2 minute walk to the tasting room where the tour starts.
