on photos to enlarge)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The destination for our May visit, Ramster Garden near Chiddingfold, kept open especially for our early evening visit, proved a delight to walk around, with its clumps, the snowball hydrangea and the (very) prickly castor oil tree, the cranes sculpture in the ponds, and the Japanese Bridge, and was a speciality of Gauntletts, the nurseries who designed the original garden for Sir Henry Waechter in 1900. <a href=\"http:\/\/grayshottgardeners.net\/?attachment_id=1975\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1975\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1975 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/grayshottgardeners.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Prickly-Castor-Oil-Tree-Kalopanax-septemlobus-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although quite compact, the different sections, including wild flower areas with numerous spotted orchids, the ponds, the bog garden with its spectacular flowering guneras and the (steep) woodland walk \u00a0gave the impression of a much larger garden.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-3' class='gallery galleryid-1947 gallery-columns-2 href=\"http:\/\/www.ramsterevents.com\">www.ramsterevents.com<\/a> is well worth viewing.
